New packaging concept offers additional protection against counterfeits
Wherever OMNIplus is written, OMNIplus is also there. When customers order a genuine part from Daimler Buses, they can already recognise from the packaging that it is a high-quality part of manufacturer quality. This is ensured by the new packaging design, which together with other brand-protected packaging materials forms a multi-level security concept.
Protection against counterfeit products With the new genuine part packaging, OMNIplus offers its customers an additional option for identifying counterfeit products - even from the outside, without having to look at the part itself. With the protection provided by the packaging, bus companies and service partners have another easy way to quickly and reliably distinguish between an original part and a counterfeit part. This aspect is particularly relevant for safety-relevant components, as it protects them against potentially inferior product counterfeits and the possible negative effects of installing them in the vehicle.
Packaging with a multi-level protection concept With a multi-stage protection concept, Daimler Truck and Daimler Buses are battling counterfeits so that customers can be sure to receive a replacement part that meets all quality standards. A whole range of markings and features help to identify the original packaging. This protection concept includes the new packaging design used jointly by Daimler Truck and Daimler Buses with pictograms of typical replacement parts as well as the lettering “Daimler Truck - Genuine Parts for Trucks and Buses”. Additional protective elements also help customs, genuine original packaging
quickly and reliably distinguish them from counterfeits. In the case of
protection-worthy genuine spare parts from OMNIplus are additionally provided with counterfeit-proof holograms on the packaging.
Safety that counts and quality that lasts There is also a further change for the already
Standard packaging material for original parts known brown boxes. Instead of the Mercedes-Benz logo on the front and the lettering “Original-Teile - Geprüfte Qualität” or “Genuine Parts - Part of your success” on the back, “Daimler Truck” will be used on the front and the lettering “Daimler Truck - Genuine Parts for Trucks and Buses” on the back of the boxes. However, one proven component of the packaging remains: the well-known OMNIplus adhesive tape. It shows at first glance that the inside of the box contains a genuine spare part for buses.
Pictograms with typical truck and bus/coach parts as well as counterfeit-proof holograms make the new packaging particularly secure.
Customers can take action themselves With the new measures, OMNIplus guarantees a high level of protection against brand and product counterfeiting. If a customer is still unsure whether they are holding a genuine spare part from OMNIplus, they can also take action themselves and contact either their supporting service center or OMNIplus directly by email at brand-protection@daimlertruck.com. Especially if customers suspect that they are dealing with counterfeit packaging and thus a counterfeit genuine replacement part, they should contact OMNIplus in order to protect themselves and other customers from counterfeits and the potentially dangerous consequences resulting from their use.
