In order to be able to supply a fleet of battery-powered buses with energy, the energy from the medium-voltage grid (generally 6 kV – 60 kV) generally needs to be reduced to a voltage level of 400V AC. Our Mercedes-Benz eCitaro fuel cell buses have a hydrogen (H2) fuel cell on board to extend their range, in addition to the batteries. Our eMobility consultants derive the required hydrogen quantities and analyse the local conditions to determine the best refuelling infrastructure.

They analyse whether a hydrogen filling station in the vicinity would be suitable or whether it would make more sense to set one up at your own depot. As part of this, we work with a skilled and reliable partner: H2 MOBILITY. The company operates an already large and constantly growing network of public hydrogen filling stations. In addition, the H2 experts can assist with the installation of hydrogen pumps at depots or in the immediate vicinity, if necessary.
