Data Package ITxPT TiGR

The standardised data interface to network mixed fleets

OMNIplus ON’s new, high-performance ITxPT TiGR data package offers an extended data scope in standardised form compared to a physical FMS interface – with simple cloud-based use. You receive vehicle data prepared according to the ITxPT standard. Many records come pre-calculated and can be used for more efficient fleet management. In particular, transport companies with vehicles from different manufacturers derive benefit from a cost-effective IT infrastructure and are independent of third-party providers.

One data language for the entire fleet

OMNIplus ON offers several virtual interfaces with different scopes. In this way, you can also obtain your vehicle data online and further process it in existing ITC and telematics systems. An international standard is needed to ensure that even transport companies with mixed fleets can seamlessly access data records and relevant information. Information Technology for Public Transport (ITxPT) standards, amongst others, are in the process of establishing themselves as a solution for this requirement. With the new virtual data interface ITxPT TiGR from OMNIplus ON, your vehicles are able to communicate optimally with all ITxPT-compliant devices in the back office of your transport company. Another benefit: essential data points, such as fuel and energy consumption, are already sent in interpreted form. This makes data processing easier for you and increases added value.

Greater profitability through consistent data standards

With the standardised TiGR vehicle data interface, local public transport companies can handle different telematics and analysis systems more flexibly. The open system opens up more business opportunities for you whilst saving on costs for additional hardware. As more and more telematics service providers have already become ITxPT-certified, the connection between the interfaces is established in no time at all. Of course, data transmitted according to the TiGR standard always has the highest quality, so that it can be used for comprehensive data analysis, and for integrating third-party systems. The over 100 data points of OMNIplus ON’s new standardised TiGR interface go beyond the previous FMS connection and are mapped to special four-digit codes. These are called system events and are automatically "pushed" to the operator’s systems. The system basically differentiates between different types of event codes, such as vehicle errors and calculated data. A great deal of data is already sent computed, such as fuel and energy consumption– a real customer benefit. Thanks to this networked and computed data, informational content is significantly increased thanks to the interoperability of fleets with vehicles from different manufacturers. The new interface was developed and tested in cooperation with and according to the requirements of many large local public transport companies together with the ITxPT organisation co-initiated by the global bus vehicle association UITP. The TiGR interface also meets the highest standards on data integrity and security, as you would expect.
